You’ll arrive at Aurora Lodge around 2:30 PM, giving you time to settle into your accommodations and draw your beat assignment for the afternoon session. From 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, you’ll enjoy your first guided fishing experience on the East Ranga, getting acquainted with the river’s character and your guide’s approach. The evening concludes with drinks and canapés at Aurora Lodge from 8:30 PM to 9:15 PM, followed by dinner service from 9:15 PM to 11:00 PM—the perfect opportunity to share first impressions with your fellow anglers while enjoying exceptional Icelandic cuisine.
Each full fishing day follows a rhythm designed to maximize your time on the water while ensuring proper rest and exceptional dining. Breakfast is served from 6:30 AM to 8:00 AM, fueling you for the morning session of guided fishing from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. You’ll return to Aurora Lodge for lunch from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM, giving you time to rest, change into dry clothes if needed, and prepare for the afternoon ahead. The afternoon fishing session runs from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, taking full advantage of Iceland’s extended daylight hours during peak season. After returning to the lodge, drinks and canapés are served from 8:30 PM to 9:15 PM, followed by dinner from 9:15 PM to 11:00 PM—a convivial conclusion to each day where stories are shared, tactics discussed, and the day’s successes celebrated over expertly prepared Icelandic cuisine.
Your final morning begins with breakfast from 6:30 AM to 8:00 AM, during which you should partially pack your bags before heading out for one last morning session on the East Ranga. The morning’s guided fishing runs from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM, giving you a final opportunity to connect with Icelandic salmon before your departure. Upon returning to Aurora Lodge at 12:30 PM, you’ll finish packing and settle any outstanding bills or gratuities with the staff. A light lunch is served from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, after which you’ll transfer back to Reykjavik or directly to Keflavik International Airport at 1:30 PM, concluding your Iceland fishing adventure with memories of pristine rivers, powerful salmon, and the otherworldly beauty of volcanic landscapes.

Ground Transportation / Transfers in Iceland are comparatively more expensive than in other parts of the world, reflecting the country’s higher cost structure and remote locations. Because guests arrive from different origins and on various schedules, we do not offer set group transfers but instead provide customized quotes for parties and individuals based on specific needs. As an example, a return transfer from Keflavik to East Ranga and back runs approximately 120,400 ISK for 1-4 people. With these costs in mind, many anglers—especially those traveling in smaller groups or individually—choose to rent cars instead. This option provides both cost savings and the flexibility to explore Iceland’s stunning scenery at your own pace during travel days.
PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY / A deposit of 50% is required to confirm your reservation and secure your space at the lodge. The final balance payment will be due approximately 90 days prior to your departure date.
